Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Sorn IPTV application, provided by Şeyda Bozkurt ("we"), processes and why. Sorn IPTV is a media player; it provides no streams, channels, movies or series.

1. Data that stays on your device

The following is stored only on your device and never sent to our servers:

Playlists you add, and their channel, movie and series information
Playlist usernames and passwords (encrypted in the device's secure storage)
Profiles, favorites, watch history and resume positions
App settings and the parental-control PIN hash

Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

2. Data sent to our server

To provide the membership, trial and announcement services we process this limited data:

Anonymous device identifier: an irreversible hash of a device id. We do not collect your name, email address or phone number.
Platform, app version and language
Membership type and end date
IP address and time, as recorded in server logs when the app connects

The app has no user accounts.

3. Advertising

The free tier shows advertisements. On Android they are served by Google AdMob. Google may process the advertising id, device and usage information and approximate location under its own privacy policy. Where your region requires it, consent is requested on first launch and can be changed at any time in Settings > About > Advertising & Privacy. Kids profiles never request personalized ads. Premium members trigger no ad requests at all.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are paid through Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details; we only learn which package was purchased and its status.

5. Notifications

Announcements are delivered as push notifications through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. The app only subscribes to general topics (all users, membership type and language); for this Firebase creates a notification token specific to your device. We do not store that token on our server. When Firebase is unavailable the app checks our server for announcements periodically. You can turn notifications off in Settings.

6. Your own network traffic

The app downloads your playlist, programme guide, streams and images directly from your provider's servers. That traffic does not pass through our servers and is not recorded by us.

7. Retention

Device and membership records: up to 2 years after the membership ends
Server access logs: up to 1 year (legal obligations reserved)

8. Deleting your data

Use Settings > About > Delete my data to request deletion of your device record on the server, or write to [email protected].

9. Children

Sorn IPTV is not directed at children under 13. The kids profile feature exists so parents can restrict what is visible.
